peruvian pullover

the first sweater I have ever made for myself

with baby alpaca from Peru that my parents brought back for me, the pattern is oatmeal pullover.  It is a simple pattern and the result is warm, soft and so comfortable.  The perfect thing to wear as the temperature drops in January.

And here's a dorky picture of me wearing it over Christmas.  I hope you are staying warm and cozy!

This is amazing.

In 2013, I finished a masters degree, got a job, moved, learned to quilt, and even had time to knit some things and climb some mountains.

Quilting and embroidery: a Christmas tree pillow for my grandmother, with hand sewn buttons I inherited from my Great-Grandma. 

I am really looking forward to 2014 and all the new and exciting things it brings with it.  I am not resolving anything other than to take the change as it comes; hopefully with grace and gratitude.
